For regions and organisations

Bring a lab to
your region

Every Futures Lab is built with the industries already in a region. If yours has companies willing to open their doors, we can build something together.

What it takes

What a region needs to run a lab

We've built this before. Here's what the regions that have a lab brought to the table.

01

Industry hosts

Two or more companies willing to have students on site, show real work, and answer real questions. They don't need to be famous — they need to be real.

02

A school or kura connection

A relationship with at least one school or kura willing to let their students take part. We'll handle the permission and logistics framework.

03

Regional funding partner

A business, trust, council or RDA willing to co-fund the first two cohorts. We'll tell you what that figure is and help you make the case.

04

Someone on the ground

A local coordinator who knows the region and can hold relationships. Doesn't need to be full-time — part of an existing role is enough in the first year.

What happens next

01

We read your message

Within five working days. We'll look at your region, your sector and what you've told us.

02

A short call

30 minutes. We want to understand what's in your region before we tell you if it can work.

03

A scoping proposal

If it looks promising we'll put a no-obligation scoping proposal together.
